Christchurch Earthquake

I finally got a chance to pass through Christchurch earlier in the year for the first time since the major earthquake of 2011.

I have to say it was a bit strange walking through the central city where only around 1 in 5 buildings are still standing even after 5 years.

I remember going to concerts in Christchurch, not getting accommodation for the night, and just wandering around until the bus left back to Dunedin in the morning…

Interview

A while back I got interviewed about one of my favorite locations to shoot, Fort Balance.

The article came out yesterday and is HERE  if anyone is interested

Pinnacles

This is somewhere I really have to go back to at night and shoot some star trails…

It was used as a set for the “Valley of the Dead” in the first Lord of the Rings movies

Cape Palliser

Cape Palliser lighthouse is situated 50km south east of Wellington and according to “Lonely Planet” is one of the top 10 lighthouses in the world… Or so I’m told.
