All I can say is Brrrrrrrrr…

On Wednesday I got a new piercing at Ninjaflower… Just happened to have my camera and Amanda took this image of me before the jewelery was put in.
The second one is a self-portrait (Nikon F5 is a really heavy camera to take this kind of shot with) from earlier today…
I’ve kinda always wanted one but working in retail has stopped me but now with only 1 weekend of work left I thought “what the heck!”

I have been thinking of getting this type of shot for a while now… unfortunately on the day I decided to try to get it I had my 20 month old daughter strapped to my back in a backpack. This type of shot requires fading into the background, not being noticed etc… Well Samantha was in fine form yelling at the top of her voice and waving a anything that moved and while this was very cute it meant that mostly people were looking at me rather than what I was hoping they were looking at… This was about the only shot I got… Maybe Next time 🙂

Some more shots from the rugby 7s… This was at about 10pm on Friday night after the final game had finished. As you come down off the concourse there was a Pie Cart and a BBQ serving food to the drunken masses…
I went for a gritty 3200 ISO film to capture a bit of atmosphere rather than blasting in some flash…
