The Yellow Moped at the shop next door seems to have been replaced by this one… I have been waiting for weeks for the right light to take its portrait…

I am currently waiting for my Rollei to be assessed by a camera repair person (Phil Jacobs in Petone) due to the fact that the shutter has been lagging a bit which I have mentioned in previous posts. Hopefully it just needs a bit of a clean…Fingers crossed.
It feels a bit weird walking around without it and I keep seeing shots that I am missing… Luckily I have just processed 5 films so I have a few images yet to put up 🙂
Anyway here goes an image of Boba Fett doing a live cross from the rugby 7s catwalk…

A couple of shooters at the Gardens concert…
Who has the best style?
Exhibit A…Looks like a 70-200 f2.8 of some description…Nicely braced for the low light
Exhibit B… Some kind of compact zoom with a viewfinder?

A couple of weeks ago I took my daughter Emily to a late concert at the botanical gardens… They have a mass of lights set up throughout the gardens which is pretty cool to see and I had promised Em I would take her even though it was a couple of hours after her bedtime.
The concert was Newtown Rocksteady and Emily didn’t like it that much mostly because it was quite loud so we didn’t hang out near the stage like I would have preferred but ended up wandering around until the lights came on about 9, two hours after she normally goes to bed.

I did a lot of film processing last night but didn’t get a chance to do any scanning of my rugby sevens films so here’s another filler.
This one was taken last week at the Karori Cemetery with a ND8 filter (3 Stops) and a torch… I was playing around trying to make it look more like daylight than at night…
The ND8 filter has quite a nasty?nice? magenta cast so I had to convert it to Black and White.
Couple off shots of one of the guys practicing on the jumps across the road from where I live.
These were both shot at 1/500th which leads me to believe that Rollei is due for a bit of shutter maintenance.
The competition was a couple of weekends ago now and unfortunatley I had to work and then it rained before I finished so didn’t manage to get any more shots…
Developing a whole heap of stuff from the Rugby Sevens today so should have more from that tomorrow….
