Here are some animal shots from our family trip to Staglands Reserve.

Fatherhood Friday 28: Bunnies

Only 22 days to Christmas….Eekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

We all had a day off together which for us is pretty unusual since I work weekends and some week days and Amanda works during the week, we were supposed to go camping but the weather forecast didn’t look the best (it turn out that we should have gone cause the weather was nice).

So we decided to make the most of our time and went out to Staglands, which is a reserve/petting zoo about an hour out of Wellington.

The girls loved seeing and interacting with the animals (except for an over friendly goat which tried to follow Emily around and shoved its head into Sams pushchair looking for food).

Portrait of Fergus

Work colleague…

Collector and reseller of cameras, mostly antique…

Knows more about Zorki and FED cameras than people who used to live next to the factory in former Russia…

Self proclaimed inventor of “Drive by Shootings” (photographic)…

co-conspirator of many late night shoots…

Halo (PC) Fan… Have yet to turn to the dark side of Xbox Halo 🙂

Unaware I took the image until after I had taken it…

New Style Car Parking

A new way of solving the problem of car parking?

Maybe just scouting a junk yard 🙂

Unfortunately the rest of this shoot got sacrificed to the film gods when I was processing 2 120 films at once and the overlapped in the middle ruining half of each film 😦  A mistake that I wont make twice…

Yoga With an Enlargement

Saw this shot on Cuba Street looking through the people doing yoga as a pacifist protest against China…

Just incase you missed it here is an enlargement…

Fatherhood Friday 27: Pipes and Flying Bikes

I havent done one of these in a while, mostly due to a backlog of film that I have to develop 🙂

Things have been slowly moving towards summer with the weather getting better and more opportunities to head outside and play in the sun.

Street shooting Mondays have been reinstated with Sam in the backpack and us roaming through town looking for photo opportunities (and occasionally playgrounds).

Emily is getting very excited about christmas already and we have started to put up our christmas tree with a few decorations being put on it each night. The tree is looking slightly comical due to the fact that most decorations are on the top third of the tree away from where Sam can get them.

Protest In Manners Mall

This protest has been going on since it was announced that there was going to be a bus road put through the previously pedestrian Manners Mall… With only 5 days before buses are going through it I am getting as many images of the area as I can before it changes.

At one point the protestor was arrested for smashing up the road with a sledge hammer… I missed that one dang it!
