Book sales are great for taking shots on a Rollei. For a start everyone is looking at books and then with Rollei you are also looking down so people just assume you are also looking at books 🙂
Usually they are not so well lit though…
I think this is the biggest one that is held at the TSB Arena every year. The light wasn’t as good as the rowing club one but there were certainly more books. This was taken on the second day so it also wasn’t quite so frenzied.
Last weekend as I was walking along the waterfront I noticed that the rowing club was having a book sale and it started in a couple of minutes… Now I love books so I thought this would be a good opportunity to see if they had anything I wanted as well as get some shots of people looking at books.
If you have ever been to a second-hand book sale right as it starts you know what a chaotic place it is as everyone tries to scan through the books before anyone else to get the best books. This pretty much meant that after the first minute of looking for books I was pretty much invisible when I started taking images as everyone there was focused on the books… Invisible is Awesome!
It was upstairs and the sun was still pretty low in the sky so it made for great lighting.
I didn’t end up getting any books but the images were great 🙂
Colds, colds, colds, colds with a slight outlook for COLDS! Will they ever go away? Even the weather has taken a steep dive towards winter.
At breakfast this morning we sound like a household of chain smokers with pretty much everyone having a cough of some sort.
Emily: With all the bad weather we havent been able to get out and have a run round much this week so even with a cold Emily still has energy to burn.
Emily said something Hilarious earlier this week, but I forgot to write it down, and when I asked Amanda what it was she looked kinda annoyed and wouldn’t tell me so I’m assuming it was partly to do with her. Hopefully my brain will kick into gear and spit it out later on.
Samantha: Favorite place to be this week has been sitting in front of the book shelf looking at books, pulling washing of the clothes dryer and staring out the window at birds.
Has reverted back to waking up every other hour at night so we are waiting for her to get a bit better before having to “break” her sleeping habits again.
New word for the week: “ook”
“Must get more ooks!”
