Random Street Shooting
Still coming to terms with the back-to-front composition 🙂 Upside down and back to front is fine but right side up and back to front is still kinda doing my head in.
Here goes some shots from wandering around Wellington
Rollieflex 2.8 E, Ilford FP4 125 ISO and Fuji Neopan 400 ISO films.
Motor Scooter Revisited
First roll of 35mm film I put through the Rollieflex and I saw this motor scooter that I took a photo of with the first ever film I put through it (Original Post Here)
Looks like its been fixed up a bit since I last saw it.
Rollieflex 2.8E, 80mm Zeiss Lens, Ilford 35mm HP5+ 400 ISO Film.
Buskers
I don’t usually take images of buskers but these guys were seriously going off with some mad jazz styles.
Looks like they were doing pretty well 🙂
Always Take Your Piano With You…
Just missed the shot of the guy riding and playing the piano, he just hopped off to help get it up a steep patch and then of course this was the last shot on the roll of film 🙂
Fatherhood Friday 20: Amanda and Sam Go South
This week Amanda and Sam spent most of the week in Dunedin visiting Amanda’s Nanna who was in hospital.
All I can say is WOW! how easy is it to look after one kid not two 🙂 Me and Emily ended up going to the beach and having a picnic on Wednesday and then going swimming at the pool after Playcentre on thursday.
It might have also helped that Krispin (a friend currently living in Aus) came to visit (Amanda flew out in the morning on Tuesday and Kris flew in in the afternoon) and Emily really enjoyed playing with him.
All in all it has been a pretty cruisy week 🙂
Sam has now advanced from walking to running and apparently had a great time with her cousins in Dunedin

Emily had a pretty good week at home probably feeling like an only child again with all the attention she got 🙂
Rollieflex 2.8E Â with 35mm Rolliekin Adaptor, Ilford HP5+ 400 ISO Film.
More Pigeon Houses
Those urban pigeons will pretty much live anywhere.
Wheres the Fire?
Still coming to grips with the handling of the Rollieflex so forgive me if the images aren’t quite as good as they could be 🙂
Rolliflex 2.8E, 80mm Carl Zeiss Lens, Fuji Neopan 400 ISO Film.
More NDX Goodness
As promised here goes some more NDX shots.
This filter gives a colour cast if you havent noticed and I find some of these shots hard on my eyes but they definitely have more of a post apocalyptic feel to them. The other reason I usually convert them is in the upper left hand corner and is more apparent when there is just sky. My Nikon D70s gives me a nice pink cloud effect which is really annoying on really long exposures and is apparently caused by the contacts with the autofocus system heating up, you don’t get it with manual focus lenses (all mine are auto focus so havent tested this out to see if it is true or not)
NIkon D70s, 18-70mm Lens, ISO 200, Cokin NDX Filter. All exposures f8 at around 10 Minutes
Broken
Broken laptop in alley off Leftbank Mall
Rollieflex 2.8E, 80mm f2.8 Carl Zeiss Lens, Fuji Neopan 400 ISO film
I Dont Think You Think That I am Taking a Photo of the Same Thing
This is a case of people thinking I am taking an image of one thing when really I am taking a picture of them.
Its kinda like camouflage but not really.
But that being said I was still taking an image of the broken post that someone must have backed into which has now been repaired but is about to be dug up due to massive roading change (all said really really fast and in one breath)
