Solace In The Wind
I really like this statue on Wellingtons waterfront but I can never get it looking the way I want it to… This one was close…

Girl In Window
As I was walking past this window I noticed the girl inside doing alterations to a pair of jeans. She looked so happy I just had to take a shot… A polarizing filter would have been handy to take some of the reflection off the window but since I dont have one for Rollei it wasnt an issue.
She spotted me just after I took the photo and gave me a wave 🙂

Diver
Prepping for a dive… Not sure if this was a training dive or something to do with checking the piles under the pier which is soon to be redeveloped…

Happy 20th Isobel and Sleeper
I have been trying to get an image of this piece of graffiti for about a week (it’s gone now) but with the light I hadn’t had any luck with framing it up. Saturday I noticed this sleeper but when I first saw him there were a whole bunch of people drinking next to him who I thought might be his friends so I decided not to shoot it since drunk friends usually take an exception to people taking images of their passed out comrades.
I went round the block and came back to find the so-called friends just leaving so managed to get this shot. I could have got closer but liked this composition best as it incorporated a piece of graffiti (now gone) as well as the sleeper themselves.
I have no idea who Isobel is…

Pajamas On The Waterfront
I came across these girls (and guy obscured on the airbed) a couple of Mondays ago. They were filming something but it was after the 48 Hour movie competition had finished so I’m not really sure what they were filming for. I love the expression from the girl on the left, she was probably wondering why some guy with a small person on his back was taking her photo 🙂

Parliament Of Rooks
When I saw this image on the street I immediately thought of a Parliament of Rooks or a Murder of Crows. In New Zealand we don’t have any Crows or Rooks, the closest we have is a Magpie which is much smaller and white and black as opposed to just being black.
It kind of has that sinister feel like they are about to descend and obliterate the artist… Maybe that’s just me…

Sleeper On Courtenay Place
Spotted this one as I was driving past and had to park the car and go back to get them. I ended up taking about 4 shot before wandering away 🙂

Titahi Bay
Last Sunday I went on a shoot with a friend to Titahi bay. We predominately went to take landscapes but old habits die hard and I ended up taking more images of people than of landscapes. We probably looked a bit odd since I was shooting with Rollei and he was shooting with a Mamiya RZ67.
Its a great area to shoot and gets the last of the sun so the light is awesome in the late afternoon. We also found a couple of places I hadn’t been before. I think I need to go back and try and take more people shots of the people in the boat sheds…
A Lost Sleeper And Another Blanket Man Sleeper Shot
I have been going through my collection of images lately with an outlook to organise them into sets when I found this image from the Rugby 7’s in February. It was about 4 in the afternoon and this guy had crashed at a bus stop… I’m not sure what he was supposed to be dressed up as.
The second one is blanket man again from last weekend. I love how he is lying across the footpath and people just walk around him.
