Book Reading On Cuba Street
Before the Rugby World Cup Wellington was a much more peaceful place where people knew how to interact with each other in interesting ways that made for good photography. Now with lots more people around you would think this would happen even more, but no… Lots more people and not a shot to be found, well maybe a few :).

Devil On Stilts
Yet another shot from the Petone Fair… This time a Devil on stilts.

More Shooting In The Dark
Another shot from the Petone Fair in the weekend. This one wasn’t quite as successful with the plane of focus falling just a little short… I still quite like it though… Makes him a bit more mysterious 🙂

Shooting In Dark
We went to the Petone fair in the weekend. We got there just as it was getting dark so after I finished the roll of 400 ISO film I pushed one to 1600. If you have ever shot a Rolleiflex in low light you will know how near impossible it is to focus so mostly this was using the distance scale which at times it was even too dark to see.
This was the best one of the night 🙂

Police On The Waterfront
With the Rugby World Cup on here at the moment there is certainly more of a Police presence around town. The city really has a bit of a strange vibe at the moment, people aren’t gathering and interacting as they usually do.
Maybe its just the full moon 🙂

Manners Mall
It was quite bright last weekend, I like the light shining through this guys beard… At the time I don’t think I even noticed the girl… But maybe I did 🙂

The Taller You Are…
I guess the taller you are the further you have to look to change music…

Knitting Graffiti And Solace In The Wind
Things are still a bit stop start at the moment, sorry, due to the fact that I am trying to develop and scan a backlog of film to get back to normal.
It looks like the knitting graffiti crew have been at it again. This time with the sculpture “Solace in the Wind” which was looking like a surf lifesaver in the weekend.
These shots occurred just after I had managed to lock my keys in the car. I decided to just leave them there and continue to shoot and then went and borrowed some tools and broke back into it later on… I must be slipping though because it took much longer than usual to get back in… Lets just say we got some funny looks while trying to get in 🙂 And I think Hamish got some images of me breaking in.

Bubbles On The Waterfront
OK book is done (link at top of sidebar if you want to look at it or even buy it) so it is time to get back to putting up images again 🙂 .
The weather is starting to head back to sunny even if there is still a bit of a chill in the air. These two girls were blowing bubbles at the back of Te Papa one evening as I was walking past. The last shot is an enlargement so you can see the bubbles 🙂

Nearly Done
Book is nearly done ( I am aiming to get it in by the 31st) so hopefully things should be back to normal after that…
Spotted this guy at the opening ceremony for the rugby statue just off Civic Square… Lets just say that I’m pretty sure that it wasn’t orange fizzy drink in the bottle.

Last weekend I happened across the opening of the new statue just off Civic Square in Jack Ilott Green.
