People Taking Photos
Here goes a series of images of people taking images 🙂
This guy was obviously very happy to be here.
This kid had the right idea, get above the crowd…I need one of these (the person to sit on, not the kid) 🙂
Always make sure your assistant is well attired.
When I was taking this I was wondering if he was actually taking a photo of me or if that puddle was just REALLY interesting.

Ticker Tape Journey
Seen at last weeks parade.
This shows the short life of ticker tape from being shot out of a canon to being swept up…Enjoy
It was basically a CO2 cylinder strapped to a box with a tube stuck on one end… Nice
Nothing like a whole heap of different coloured tape to throw off your exposure meter 🙂
Shock horror its in colour! Ran out of black and white and had a roll of Kodak Supra 400 (which was horrendously expired… Thanks the person who gave it to me…you know who you are)
Not sure I would want to be this guy.

Stilt Walker in Civic Square
One of the few times I have been a little frustrated with my 50mm. Would have been easier to frame the shot with a wide-angle which would have ment I could have got her all in the shot showing how much taller she was than everyone else. Couldnt get back any further without getting other people in front.
Seen at Civic Square in Wellington at the All Whites (NZ Football Team) parade. The name comes from the fact they wear all white uniforms.
Reflection Sculpture and Diver
It was kind of a nothing happening day so I decided to go shoot the statue/sculpture I had seen a couple of days ago on the Wellington waterfront. The sky was pretty overcast so the conditions were pretty good (although I will go back at nigh and shoot with flash sometime in the future).
So I get there and start taking some shots when all of a sudden people start jumping off the wharf directly behind the sculpture…wtf… some sort of training for dive people I guess… They started doing circuits on the dock so it gave me a good opportunity to get some pics.
P N D S was written on their wetsuits but didn’t get anything from google and they were going pretty hard out so was thinking they were possibly Navy… If anyone knows?
I love it when stuff like this happens 🙂
Reflection.
The one on the right is a sculpture.

Mr Key
Shot at the start of the parade for the All Whites Football team after their undefeated record at the world cup (didn’t win a game but got 3 draws).
The person in the middle of the scrum is the Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key. The thing I really like about New Zealand is that we are all pretty relaxed and it was cool to see the PM hang around after the parade had left and talk and pose for photos with the large amount of kids who stayed. Even if I don’t agree with his politics at least he hung round and had his photo taken with pretty much anyone.
The funniest thing that happened was a dancer from a Salsa Dancing float tried to get her picture taken with the PM and had to run to catch up with her float which had left without her. unfortunately I was changing a roll of film at the time and missed shooting it…
It also seemed like entrance to the fenced off area was by the look of your camera rather than any type of Press Pass, I was tempted but liked the angles I was getting so decided not to try…
I possibly pissed off some newspaper photographers by using my 50mm and getting close and getting in their way while they were all shooting 70-200s.  Ngh like I cared 🙂

Bubble Man
Man blowing bubbles in Manners Mall, Wellington.
He wasnt too happy with me taking his photo and stopped whenever I was in his sight. I sniped this one while walking past from the other end of the mall.
This image is kinda inspired by THIS IMAGE which is much more impressive… Cheers Fergus.
