Negative Space Shadow

The light around town has been amazing of late as we start the slide towards winter. Unfortunately since most of my chances to go shooting are in the late afternoon they are starting to turn into night shoots… Rollei doesn’t handle street in the dark particularly well so I might have to start carrying my trusty F5 around as well in order to get some more street shots.

Wooden Sculpture

While stopping in Carterton for a bite to eat I noticed this sculpture with the light hitting it just right.

This sleeper came prepared… Great furry sleeping bag!

Sleeper, Reader and Two Birds

It seems like it has been raining forever so I cant even remember when I took this shot, probably a couple of weekends ago.

The main thing I liked about this one was the two seagulls perched on the heads of the two birds 🙂

Picture Of Self In Ball

I have finally managed to catch up on all my developing and scanning and we are back onto new stuff this week…Yay!…

Beards

More old stuff… This was taken at the end of the ACDC concert at the stadium in Wellington.

These two guys were heckling me as I was taking photos… In an amusing way not a bad way 🙂

Bubble Girl

This week is rapidly turning into a week of retrospective…

This from 2010 and the last Cuba Street Carnival…

Chess Battle

I haven’t been out shooting much at the moment mostly due to weather and having a cold so I thought I would re-post a picture from a few years ago.
This is one of the first shots I got after I decided to become a street photographer and always carry my camera around with me… After this I was pretty much hooked! 🙂

The Adelaide

Newtown landmark pub “The Adelaide” was condemned earlier this year as being structurally unsound in the case of an earthquake and is just sitting there waiting to be demolished or structurally reinforced. After all the earthquakes in Christchurch there have been quite a number of buildings condemned around Wellington this year.

The second shot was taken through a dirty window, it looks like they left in a bit of a hurry…
