I have been hanging out at the Wellington Botanical Gardens a bit lately… The spring festival is in full swing and lets just say that its a target rich environment for all sorts of different photography…

Road Works

Corner of Manners and Victoria Streets… Is it just me or do they look slightly guilty of something?

Dont see this happening round here much and this was on a pretty busy road… Must have been some real nice wheels!

Lawnmowers Outside Parliament

I have been having some computer issues of late but have hopefully sorted it so should be back up and running now 🙂

Spring is finally here and with it a couple of new cameras to play with.

I just bought a Nikonos V with a 35mm lens which I am planning to use as a rainy day street shooter with the possibility of a bit of underwater shooting and on the last Urbex mission we found a broken Holga 120 camera which I am currently converting into a 35mm panoramic camera (I know you can buy adaptors but this way is more fun).

Roll on the spring weather and may it be good!

Take Shelter Part 2… Rolleiflex

This is the second part of the post from yesterday now that I have managed to get some more film developed.

Rollei’s Back!… But I Havent Had A Chance To Shoot Yet :(

So I picked up repaired Rollei on Wednesday afternoon and I have to say that the repair guy did a really good job. As well as fixing the shutter he also gave it a really good clean and fixed up a few other small issues as well as re timing and checking all the shutter speeds.

The unfortunate thing is that since I have picked it up I haven’t been able to get out and shoot and with working both days this weekend the likelihood of getting a full roll through for next week is looking pretty poor.

So that being said here goes a shot from pre-repair Rollei of some timelapsing with my D90 🙂

The Day Rollei Died

Sorry to say I have been a bit quiet of late but unfortunately my Rolleiflex decided to up and die on me. Its currently away hopefully being repaired (fingers crossed).

This is probably the shot where it happened.

I will keep you informed on how it is going… Time to do some more experimentation with digital while its away 🙂
