Cafe Shot

Shot while waiting to have coffee on The Terrace…

Rolleiflex 2.8 E, Ilford HP5+ 400 ISO Film.

Foam Fountain

Saw this last weekend on my pre work walk…

Again I love it when the universe throws me some weird stuff to take photos of in the small window of opportunity that I have to capture them 🙂

Teddy Had a Hard Night

This bear looks like he has had a hard night out on the town.

Found in favourite alley off Leftbank Mall.

S and S March Again…

Ok I know it’s another one from the protest march but it kind of needed its own post.

If you didn’t know it was at a protest it could just be random people.

I really like the gesture from the old lady on the left 🙂

S and S Bill Protest

This is the rest of the shots from the protest against the new Search and Surveillance Bill currently going through parliament.

I have to say that it was quite challenging walking backwards while focusing and checking exposure with the Rollei and the F5 would have been a lot easier to use… but shoot what you got and Rollei it was. Didnt think they came out too bad.

It was slightly ironic that I was taking pictures of people protesting against people being able to take pictures…

Protest Portrait

Managed to take some images of a protest against a new Search and Surveillance Bill on Saturday.

This was my favourite shot of the day.

“Kingdom Come” Set Via Rollei

More shots of the Kingdom Come abandoned set.

I especially like the one of the wall where you can see the patterns of glue that were used to stick on the stone frontages.

Burst Water Main Revisited

A couple of weeks ago I posted some digital shots of a burst water main in Manners mall (original post here).

I finally got round to processing the film from my Rollei along with some follow-up shots.

Apparently the City Council doesn’t have accurate plans of where the pipes in this area are and the water pipe does an unexpected U up towards the surface which is where the digger driver hit it.  He should have been safe to go about another 30cm deeper… No one was hurt and only One shop suffered enough damage that it is suing.

People in the top floor of the apartment pictured behind who had their windows open got a bit soaked.

You can see in this shot that the pipe goes up and over something… Apparently this isn’t in the plans.

Kingdom Come Abandoned Set

Went and had a look at the abandoned set for Kingdom Come last night.

Lets just say that the Wellington weather is having its way with it… Not to mention the graffiti artists…

It all feels a bit mournful with all the work that went into it without being completed and then being destroyed by the elements.

Looks like it is quite the popular place to go as we weren’t the only ones there.

Colour film from Rollei and B/W from F5 still to come 🙂

Double Exposure

First incident with the Rollei giving an unexpected double exposure.

The result isn’t entirely unpleasing but would be happier if I got to pick when to double expose and not the camera 🙂
