Fatherhood Friday 18: The Return of Wild Hair

Another week down. This week has seen the return of colds mostly all round and continued teething from Sam.

Conversation of the week with Emily:

“Dad, dad”

“Yes Emily”

“Dad…Do you remember when Sam was sick?”

“Yes I remember”

“And the Doctor was closed and we had to got to the other doctor and Sam was crying lots and lots?”

“Yes I remember”

“And we had takeaways for lunch… I liked that, can we have takeaways for lunch today?

“No Emily” 🙂

Teamwork. Emily taking Sam down the slide… It doesnt seem very long ago when kids were doing this with Em 🙂

Emily at Playcentre with some wild hair.

Kinda hard to see but Sam fell asleep the last time we went out street shooting. In hindsight I should have gone into a shop and asked to use their mirror to get this shot because its kind of hard to see here.

Borrowed Lensbaby

Borrowed a Lensbaby the other day to take a couple of shots with.

Not really sure what to think of them…

Film Ends

These are a couple of film ends where the felt from the film cassette has left an exposure on the film when it is loaded. This mostly happens when you use a bulk film roller and your relaodable cassettes start to get a bit ragged. I always look for them but dont get many good ones. I think I may have posted the top one a few months ago… can’t remember.

Fatherhood Friday 17: Ummm Make That Saturday

Been busy for the last couple of weeks so have got a couple of oldies from my camera phone… Both are a few years old now

Wow looking at these I can’t believe how much she has grown up 🙂

No pics of Sam this week but she has started walking a little bit and decided to do it when Amanda was working late for the first time since Sam has been born 😦

More recent pictures next week I promise.

This is kinda one of my favourite images from about 5 years ago

Ticker Tape Journey

Seen at last weeks parade.

This shows the short life of ticker tape from being shot out of a canon to being swept up…Enjoy

It was basically a CO2 cylinder strapped to a box with a tube stuck on one end… Nice

Nothing like a whole heap of different coloured tape to throw off your exposure meter 🙂

Shock horror its in colour! Ran out of black and white and had a roll of Kodak Supra 400 (which was horrendously expired… Thanks the person who gave it to me…you know who you are)

Not sure I would want to be this guy.

Stilt Walker in Civic Square

One of the few times I have been a little frustrated with my 50mm. Would have been easier to frame the shot with a wide-angle which would have ment I could have got her all in the shot showing how much taller she was than everyone else. Couldnt get back any further without getting other people in front.

Seen at Civic Square in Wellington at the All Whites (NZ Football Team) parade. The name comes from the fact they wear all white uniforms.
