Electric Busker

I usually don’t take images of buskers unless I give them money but this one was too good to miss ๐Ÿ™‚ Will have to track them down and give them a copy…

Abandoned Service Station

Spotted this while driving round Upper Hutt a week or so ago. The amusing thing with this shot for me was that when we pulled up I parked directly oppositeย  with the plan of using the car for a tripod. Unfortunately the car was too close and since I only wanted to move it a couple of metres I got Fergus (Cunningvision)to take the handbrake off and pushed it back. Just as I was doing this a kid walked past and gave me a WTF kind of look ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess i was pushing the car away form the petrol station ๐Ÿ™‚

Sleeper On Cuba

With the weather being occasionally nice the sleepers come out of the woodwork… Its amazing what they can sleep through since there was a busker not more than 50 metres away getting the crowd to clap along and generally being noisy.

Airport Waiting

I went to the airport the other day to catch up with a friend who was passing through. I didn’t check their flight before I went and it ended up being delayed something like 8 hours so I missed meeting them but got to hang around the airport for an hour to take photos ๐Ÿ™‚

Half Frame Urbex

A couple of half frame panos… The first one is the abandoned Central Institute of Technology and the second one is an abandoned company that used toย  go by the name Universal Trading Company which reminded me of Universal Exports from James Bond ๐Ÿ™‚

Parliamentary Rugby World Cup

The world has pretty much gone rugby mad around here with the Rugby World Cup on at the moment.

This shot is from the Parliamentary Rugby World Cup from a couple of weeks ago, lining up are the United Kingdom and Argentina for their national anthems . This is an actual thing and all the players have to work for their countries parliament.ย  The light was super bright and contrasty and most of the stuff I shot on 35mm I didn’t really like ( I will post the ones I did like when I get a chance).

Nearly Done

Book is nearly done ( I am aiming to get it in by the 31st) so hopefully things should be back to normal after that…

Spotted this guy at the opening ceremony for the rugby statue just off Civic Square… Lets just say that I’m pretty sure that it wasn’t orange fizzy drink in the bottle.

Homeless In Wellington

Seen on Manners Street… I can’t remember when I took this but it was in the last week or so. The warmer weather seems to be bringing them out of the woodwork.

I find it hard to believe that there is talk of moving them along for the rugby world cup to make the city look nice… Where are they going to move them along to?
