In The Navy

Last weekend the New Zealand Navy was in Wellington port to present their colours to the parliament for their 70th anniversary (yes our Navy is only 70 years old). All the ships except one on active duty were there and although there is only seven in the fleet it still made for a rather impressive display.

The ships were all open to the public but I didnt get a chance to go and have a look.

This image was taken just after they had docked…

Fort Buckley At Night

Last night Fergus (Cunningvision) and I revisited Fort Buckley for a bit of night shooting. Aside from camera malfunctions (D70 is definitely on its last legs losing about 10 shots and having to have the battery removed a couple of times to make it work again) it was a pretty good shoot. Although none of the images are spectacular, they definitely have promise and with a bit more planning could be pretty cool.

Abandoned School

Last weekend Fergus AKA Cunningvision took me to an abandoned school out by where he lives. Lets just say I wasn’t expecting the school to be quite as large and run down as it was… In short it was way cooler than I was expecting 🙂

Apparently it used to be part of Hutt Valley High School but hasn’t been used in quite a while… Must go back again…
