Former Home For Boys
Spotted this one wandering around… The entire rest of the block has been demolished so I guess this one is protected…

Lights Against A Darkish Sky
I really liked how this shot turned out even if it hurts my eyes since the lights are only just discernible from the sky…

Peace Walking
I couldn’t think of a better post to put up on ANZAC ( Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) day where we remember all the people who fought in the various wars…
Least we forget.
Peace.

Printing Goodness
So the other day I went and did some printing in a community darkroom… After a few problems I finally managed to get into the swing of things and get some prints done.
The bigger prints are on 16×20 glossy heavyweight paper and the smaller ones are on 8×10 glossy heavyweight paper. Overall I was pretty happy with the results especially since this was the first time I had darkroom printed any of my Rolleiflex negatives… They were super nice 🙂
This shot does these prints no justice at all 🙂

Darkroom Day!
Today I am heading to a darkroom for 10 hours of printing madness… Wish me luck 🙂
This is a shot I took last time I was there in August 2010… Its been a while.

A Bit Of Powerboat Racing
There was Powerboat racing in the harbour yesterday and I thought it would be a good chance to test out my Nikon 80-200 f2.8 lens which has a pretty serious amount of fungus in it with my Nikon D90. Luckily the light was on my side so I didn’t have to worry too much about lens flare.
As we were walking to a good vantage point the race started and on the second turn two of the boats collided resulting in one of them overturning… I saw it happen but didn’t have a camera out so only got the aftermath.
Anyway I was reasonably happy with the way the lens handled and even sniped a couple of portrait shots of the crowd 🙂
