Rainy Day
This was shot on a roll of Delta 3200 ISO Film pulled to 800 ISO. I ran out of film on a previous day (which was bright and sunny) and had to down rateย the ISO of my remaining film, of course the next day I was out it was really dark and I could have used the extra couple of stops to freeze this shot… Oh well ๐

Food Vendor
A food vendor at a cultural festive held in Civic Square in Wellington… I guess his day wasn’t going so well… It probably didn’t help that it poured down with rain about 30 mins later.
I like how sometimes if you wait long enough it all come together ๐

Hold Up Guy
The radio network covering the dragon boat races had up a large inflatable arch for people to walk under on their way to the event… Unfortunately not long after they put it up it got windy and had to be taken down… this was just after it got windy and just before they took it down.

Another Sleeper And A Poll
Yet another shot of a sleeper from last weekend… I think this one may be my favorite so far.
Also below is a poll to see which suggestion would be best for renaming the “sleeper” category…Take a few seconds and help me out ๐
Will do a Homage to Sleepers next week with the poll results…

Short Sighted Texting
I guess she forgot her glasses since if she needed shade she could have just moved four steps to her left ๐

Whats Going On?
Film is great for surprises… I didn’t notice what was going on in this image until I was just about to post it with the set of images from the Performance Arcade from a couple of weeks ago.
So what is happening in this image?… Really I have no idea… Anyone want to have a guess?

Homage To The Alley
As I have mentioned a couple of days ago this Alley has been gated off and the graffiti painted over. A friend sent me THIS ARTICLE which says the whys and hows. I have to say the whys are pretty dumb…
Anyway here goes some shots from the last couple of years…
Yet More Sleepers
Seems I cant go anywhere these days without catching a couple of sleepers as I go… These are from last weekends roll of film and Im pretty sure I got another couple this weekend as well… May have to make this into its own category after the death of “The Alley”

Death Of An Alley
So for those of you who read this blog regularly (you know who you are) will know that this alley is a source of great photographic material and indeed has its own category. The graffiti changes on a weekly basis and small installations of broken things crop up to be photographed before disappearing hours later.
Well I guess someone got annoyed at the above coolness and possibly the rank smell of urine and empty paint cans which wasn’t so cool and has put up and padlocked gates at either end ๐ฆ
Oh Well RIP The Alley…

Fountain
This was a bit of a lens flare and shutter speed test I did the other day. I think Rollei did pretty damn well!
