Abandoned Desk

Another shot from my Olympus XA3.

Sometimes black and white just doesn’t capture what you want it to…

Former Home For Boys

Spotted this one wandering around… The entire rest of the block has been demolished so I guess this one is protected…

More Outdoor Indoor Living

Some more outdoor indoor living… This one was in a abandoned building behind the hospital.

It was taken through a window which gave it the fake tilt/ shift look.

Door To Nowhere

Seems like a strange place to put a door…

Burnt Out Building Half Frame And A Dresden Dolls Story

This image is a bit of a filler for today (sorry)… Why you ask? Well…

Yesterday when I got home from work and was checking stuff on the net I came across Amanda Palmer who was giving some tickets to her Dresden Dolls away if you tweeted your name and reason you wanted to go. Being slightly cheeky I tweeted that I had a 57 Rolleiflex that wanted to meet her and even though I just missed the cutoff I got a ticket but told I owed her a photo 🙂

Well I took Rollei along and even though there were some signs saying the usual don’t take photos or recordings I busted it out and took about 3 films worth (Amanda Palmer told me to)

Im currently developing those films and they will make up a post either later tonight or early tomorrow.

So if you like the Dresden Dolls come back and have a look shortly 🙂

By the way the show was freaking AMAZING! Thank you Amanda Palmer for the ticket!

Pomare: The First Time

These shots are mostly from when I went to Pomare the first time. I have only managed to develop and scan the film these were on recently and things have change quite a bit since this.

The shots after this are from when I went back the third time. The big piles of rubble are no longer there and more houses have fences around them that are destined to be demolished. I will probably end up going back a few more times to see how things are progressing.

Abandoned Service Station

Spotted this while driving round Upper Hutt a week or so ago. The amusing thing with this shot for me was that when we pulled up I parked directly opposite  with the plan of using the car for a tripod. Unfortunately the car was too close and since I only wanted to move it a couple of metres I got Fergus (Cunningvision)to take the handbrake off and pushed it back. Just as I was doing this a kid walked past and gave me a WTF kind of look 🙂 I guess i was pushing the car away form the petrol station 🙂
