Traffic Photographer on Manners Street

Just after Manners Mall became a bus road this guy turned up for about a week… We initially thought he was there to catch buses that were running red lights but it turns out he was there to take images of cars going through the “Bus Only” section of the road, possibly to give them tickets.

A Couple of Cemetery Half Frames

A couple more Half Frame panos, this time of a couple of different cemeteries.

The top image is from the cemetery overlooking the Terrace in Wellington and the other is at Karori Cemetery also in Wellington.

I Like how the top images have been run together on this one… It definitely adds a bit of atmosphere to the image.

Merry Christmas

Rainy Night at The Bus Station

While waiting for a friend at the bus station I shot a couple of images… This was by far the best one.

Great eye contact with the camera… I didn’t notice when I took it… I love how film still surprises me from time to time 🙂

Window Dresser Through Window

I seem to be taking lots of images through windows at the moment…

Negative Space Portrait

This is definitely one of my favourite shots that I have taken recently.

A portrait within a portrait…

A Couple of Half Frame Sequences

Another couple of sequence shots from the loaner Canon Demi Half Frame Camera.

They are both off the first roll I put through it where I stuffed up which way to shoot and had to turn the images in Photoshop…Hence the weird light leaks don’t match up…

I think the person in the first one makes the shot… but that’s just me 🙂

Bus Casuality on Manners Street

As I was coming back from getting lunch I noticed a group of people clustered around someone on the footpath. As I got closer it turned out to be someone who had just stepped out onto the street without looking both ways (day 3 of the new road layout where buses go both ways on a previously one way street) and was hit by a bus.

Lets just say that this was a really hard image to take and I think this comes across in the image itself… it probably didn’t help that I was shooting 50 ISO film… but I think the camera shake adds some anonymity to the image.
