I nearly got run over while getting into position to take this shot… I walked around the car parked in front of this one just as a car was coming along, this road is pretty narrow and I had to push up against the car to avoid being hit…and yes I did squeal like a little girl…

Last Thursday was the opening of Bev Short’s “All Woman” exhibition at the New Zealand Portrait Gallery here in Wellington. I do a bit of assisting for Bev and had helped with a fair few of the images in the exhibition.
It was pretty damn cool to see them big and framed as a series.
Well done Bev!
Of course I took my Rolleiflex and with some 400 ISO film pushed to 3200 took several rolls during the night. Gallery lighting is not your friend when it comes to photography 🙂

So the other day I went and did some printing in a community darkroom… After a few problems I finally managed to get into the swing of things and get some prints done.
The bigger prints are on 16×20 glossy heavyweight paper and the smaller ones are on 8×10 glossy heavyweight paper. Overall I was pretty happy with the results especially since this was the first time I had darkroom printed any of my Rolleiflex negatives… They were super nice 🙂
This shot does these prints no justice at all 🙂
